Plus Size Swimsuit??

Mom of One

Where can I find one that doesn't cost $50?? Gosh they are expensive! I mainly want one to use in the tub with my daughter (she's 18 months and not too keen about the big tub) and maybe once or twice to the beach this summer. I don't want anything high cut either....something one peice and very basic.

Check Wal-Mart. They have a pretty decent selection for us "normal sized" women ;) Also, Kohl's has a great selection. Regular priced they're pretty spendy, but they're on sale pretty often. Good Luck!

Swimsuit sizing question?

Cass

I'm trying to buy a swimsuit and Im confused about the sizings. So I
Basically I can wear a xs-s in t shirts and tanktops. In dresses, between small and medium, and my waist size is 25, but I can wear 26. I'm lanky so yeah. (Sigh) so anyway I'm shopping on amazon, what do you think size should I get? http://www.amazon.com/Speedo-Womens-Lycra-Superpro-Swimsuit/dp/B000YM6FLW/ref=sr_1_24?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1370560463&sr=1-24&keywords=one+piece+swimsuit
I'm a girl btw

So great suit choice fist of all - I am guessing you are into/getting into fitness swimming??

My concern fo you is that speedo tends to be "true sized" that is to say that if you have a 25'' waist - you should get a size - 25.

Plus you description that you wear extra small sized tops and are, "lanky" leads me to believe that you have a tall slender figure - with, ehem..... not much on top??

If that's the case - the suit you have posted may be too big for you to swim laps in.

Instead may I suggest - http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/3181.htm?color=9325.
- This suit is in the same blue color as the speedo you post.
- Same price.
But i has a size 24 available! Which would fit you better.
Notice the model is built pretty lanky as well. And, I think the back, bottom portion of the suit hugs closer to her body than the one you have posted - that's important because if your thin, and that portion of the suit is too loose......... You could run into some "slipping" problems were you to dive in this suit - or swim fast/fliptuns/pushing off walls etc.....

If you are lanky and really tall I would suggest something more like;
http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/41831.htm?color=212
- Same color.
- Only slightly more expensive.
The smaller back and higher hips allow for a taller girl.
Just beware there's much less material at the back.
