I've concluded the following: I should get some bottoms that are a solid, dark color, & that have a higher cut leg to make my legs look longer. Can anyone help me find a decent swimsuit bottom like that? I was gonna get a simple black higher cut leg swimsuit bottom, & u think that would be easy to find. Not exactly. I've looked at Target, Wal-Mart, Kohls, JcPenney, Sears, & I'm having a hard time finding one. Everything out there seems to be "hipsters" & I don't think it would help me w/ my problems areas (which would be short legs and fat thighs). Try Victoria's Secret, they have a lot of different styles of bottoms since they're an underwear store. Also, it may be expensive but they're having a Swimwear Sale right now!
Finding a perfect pair of swim bottoms is also worth the price. Victoria's Secret, being a lingerie store, garantees a great fit and great quality.

It's hard to search for bottoms on their website because only their tops are categorized by style. Just browse and if you see any at all, head into your local store to try on more.

Also, another alternative to high cut leg is open sides. Try bottoms that are pieced together with ties, chains, or thin strings. They also slim your legs and lengthen them.

Hey, i havent gone shoopping for this summer yet and i havent been following this years summer fashion, so can anyone who follows it tell me what kind of swimwear is going to be this years fashion? How should by outfit on the beaches be? plan white ts? or maybe graphic ts? colorful swimshorts? plan? long? short? this kind of stuff.

I plan to, in college, pursue a career in fashion design, particularily swimsuit/ lingerie. I had the idea to major in fashion design and minor in business. Does this sound like a good plan? Any hints or tips? thanks :)

At the college level, don't narrow down your field too much. While you are still learning the ropes is a bad time to focus on a niche as limited as lingerie & swimwear.

Fashion is an exceptionally competitive career. You may start out intending to concentrate on intimates, but end up designing baby clothes, or workwear uniforms, or even shoes -- because that's the only company hiring this month. Do not be naive enough to think you'll be setting up with your own label within a couple-few years. Do you know how much capital you need to do that? The closest you'll come, right out of school, is maybe to do free-lance work.

Aim high, but be fully prepared if you have to fly lower for a while -- especially (in a bad economy) a long while. How *is* Victoria's Secret doing this year, anyway? ...... :-D

Any fashion designer worth taking seriously knows how to construct clothes -- ALL KINDS of clothes. So concentrate your studies on garment construction and fit. Sure, pay special attention to fine knits and stretch knits, but get yourself well-grounded in all techniques and materials.

Develop embryonic portfolios for several fields, starting while you're still in school. Keep them current!! You may even be able to sell designs free-lance while still an undergrad. Be prepared to go wherever the jobs are. You may want to work as a staff designer with garment manufacturers for a few years -- the experience you'll gain will be invaluable. Or you may wish (or be forced to) work free-lance for a while, selling individual designs or lines of designs to manufacturers for (usually) a one-time payout -- no royalties, no practical control over what happens to those designs in future. Both career paths are hard roads, and not very lucrative until you've established a solid reputation -- which takes years.

For your purposes, you might be happier aiming for free-lance work. This at least puts you in the position of being able to take many kinds of customers, at least one of which could be that lingerie manufacturer. Just remember that there are no paid benefits for the free-lancer: you pay all your own costs, from workspace to insurance to production costs (some companies need *you* to produce your own samples for them) to travel costs to retirement fund. But this is where having a degree minor in business will be a real help to you.

Staff designers have much more security than free-lancers, and *much* better paid-benefits packages, including paid vacation time. But free-lancers have way more opportunities to make good professional contacts than staff designers. And if you *do* have hopes of launching your own label someday, you'll need all the business contacts you can collect!

My family standards do not allow for bikini (or any swimsuit that shows the tummy) swimsuits. Explaining why a 5 year old can't wear one and then letting a baby wear one would be a double-standard. However, for when they are toddlers or younger we just use a diaper-swimmer suit (not the Little Swimmers, we buy the suits.) And if we're at a public pool, we use a little shirt. If outside at our house, we let the babies go nude, but if it's very sunny then they wear a UV protecting sun-shirt and shorts.

Someone in my family, his sister had a little girl (4) who was raped senseless (not joking, this is not in the least funny) and is disabled now from the damage the pervert did to her body and brain. I have 3 sisters who were molested as children. While the standards for my family actually come from my religion and beliefs, I'm very aware that a pedophile will hang out at a swimming pool and watch the little kids (because I know a couple at this point.) And there's nothing against the law saying they can't stare and fantasize (or even snap a few pictures with their cell now and take it home for more 'fun'.)

To me, I don't want to even think of someone looking at her like that, and while I don't want to raise her hiding everything because of a fear someone might look at her, I don't see a point in a bikini which is often sexualized in magazines and looks like underwear (for a reason.) A two piece suit that covers the belly doesn't bother me. But bikinis really are designed to look like a bra and panties and is more sensual than in public clothes need to be.

Merriman married on June 25, 2004, to Micol. His hobbies include golf, four-wheel and dirt bikes, team sports, water sports, horseback riding, martial arts, basketball, skiing, and snowboarding.

babyface is the term for "good guy" and in some circles it's actually one of FIVE forms of allegiance... So I'll give you a run down and examples


BABYFACE:
The ultra-good good guy. Hulk Hogan in the 80's was a perfect example of this. In TNA it would have been Sting up until his recent return... and right now I'm not sure if TNA has a stand-up babyface.

FACE:
A good guy that doesn't always do the best "good guy" actions. Stone Cold Steve Austin in the late 90's is a prime example, as is The Rock in the early 00's. In TNA I'd say Samoa Joe or Kevin Nash.

NEUTRAL:
Someone who's personality clashes with EVERYONE on the roster, but doesn't seem to have a true allegiance to being face or heel. Triple H or Christian Cage right now is the best example of this.

HEEL:
Just an all-around bad guy. Does things wrong, and doesn't bother to justify it. A great example is MVP or Booker T.

SUPER HEEL:
These guys are the bad guys that even the bad guys don't like. They have "legitimate" justifications for everything that they do, and in reality, they're the scariest people to "trust." At the moment, the best one to say this for is Randy Orton or Kurt Angle.

In my experience (and I've worked out in a lot of gyms for a lot of years), most younger guys go to the gym between 2 and 8 (2 if they're students with no classes, 5ish if they're young guys with jobs). Most older men go to the gym in the morning or on their lunch breaks at work.

The later in the day the more likely there are to be younger beefcake guys there.

The real, real meatheads (steroidy guys) go late at night... like 9 to midnight. Most of those guys work in bars and get a workout in before their shifts.

News item out of Dallas: Terrell Owens of the Cowboys claims Quarterback Tony Romo is paying more attention to his girlfriend - Jessica - than he is to playing and that's why he had such a bad game last Sunday. And, TO says Jessica isn't exactly a favorite in Dallas when she shows up for the games. Poor Jessica! And isn't this the same woman who thought Chicken of the Sea Tuna was actually a kind of chicken? Say what you will about TO, but he might have a good point. Should Jessica stay at home so Romo can concentrate on football instead of on her?

I used to admire Jessica when she said she was a Christian and was saving herself for marriage, and I thought it was unfair that her songs weren't getting a lot of airplay because of it. I think she's a much better singer than Britney Spears, who's basically a pretty face with a mediocre voice. When I heard that she and Nick had split, I lost all respect for her because it seems to me that she just gave up and instead of being an adult and trying to work on saving her marriage, she chose to listen her dad, who obviously didn't like Nick and was afraid of losing his meal ticket. Instead of thinking for herself, she's letting her dad think for her; in fact, I think HE was the one who started the rumour that Nick was cheating on her, just so he could get her back under his control. What's really sad about this is that if Jessica ever gets married again, it'll more than likely be to some guy her dad picked out. I don't think she'll ever find a man who loves and treasures her like Nick did. She may not regret divorcing him now, but she will someday.

Criss Angel Mindfreak season 4 is supposed to start on July 23rd! I can't wait! He said it in a short interview and it's on some websites. Lots of people thought it was going to start sometime in early June, but I guess that was wrong. is it ok to own two black swimsuits?

I know this is a stupid question, but i just recently purchased a black one-piece slightly retro cut swimsuit, well i found a black and white polka-dotted high waisted bikini (on mod cloth) and I can't decide if i should get it, or if it would be too dark and depressing for summer. they have a red and white polka dotted one as well, but they have been sold out of my size for weeks. Do you think it's ok to have two black ones if i maybe get an inexpensive and colorful one from target or somewhere of the likes?

Ok I hear these terms mixed up all the time

the way i know it is
polishing a car sands down part of the clear coat and its an actual physical change which makes it look nicer

Waxing is a store bought product that you put onto the paint of the car which fills in the micro gaps and gives it a smoother look, like washing a car its temporary unlike polishing

and buffing, i think is like polishing for a section? not sure..

You are right, these terms are used interchanably and most people don't really understand what they mean.

Polishing is the act of improving the paint appearance by using products that abrade the paint to remove below surface defects, resulting in enhanced gloss. This is where the hard work in making paint look great comes from. This step could require the use of several types of polishes to correct paint defects like swirl marks, oxidation, light scratches and scuffs, and general paint dullness. Polishing can be done by hand or machine.

Buffing is the act of using a machine polisher to polish the paint, as described above. Buffers can be direct drive (circular) or orbital in action. Buffing pads are made of blended wool or foam.

Waxing is the act of applying a protective coating to the paint to bring out the maximum gloss and protect the polished paint. Most waxes are beauty and protective only, they do not polish the paint. Some waxes called cleaner waxes provide a light amount of paint polishing action.

So... to get your paint looking its best, it needs to be polished first, either by hand or machine, then waxed for protection.

first, the " buff" is not the professional ( or correct ) tool to polish diamonds, we always use a tang to hold diamonds can cut it on scaife.( i can let u know how to cut diamonds if u want to know , because i m owning one diamond jewelry company here in china, i have 18 years experiences in diamond cutting ).

u could not make fake diamond the same brilliant as natural diamonds due to different characters. i m sorry to say that.

Are coed army training bases easy compared to Fort Benning?

i heard that if your MOS involves combat you'll go to Fort Benning because its just for guys, and i also heard that because of that its considered the toughest and most extreme, also for that matter why cant women have a combat job in the army

All basic training installation have drill sergeants who are all trained to the same standard. You will receive all the same training on the important issues. But they get yelled at more at Benning than at Relaxin' Jackson.

Women can't have combat arms jobs because they are physically weaker, because they have more sensitive hygiene issues that preclude them from staying weeks and weeks in the field, and because of the emotional attachment men generally feel towards women, in which people think men would risk their own safety and their unit's safety by going to rescue a female comrade in danger.

This is absolutely false. The US Government could never get away with allowing this at any military base even training facilites. Where did you hear that? Someone may be trying to scare you.
There is lots of fears associated with basic training and many are not true. Yes, it is touch and yes, you need to perform almost as well as the men but this is plain false.

My son in in the Army and I used to be a boot camp commander for the cadets (high School and college age) in the Civil Air Patrol and Air Force Auxillary. I know what goes on there and they are very careful to follow the strict guidelines. We used to have our boot camp at an Army Base and they had private facilites for the men and women (separate). And the baracks are separate in many cases.
If you are off to basic training, relax, it will be tough but you will come out a soldier.

In my experience (and I've worked out in a lot of gyms for a lot of years), most younger guys go to the gym between 2 and 8 (2 if they're students with no classes, 5ish if they're young guys with jobs). Most older men go to the gym in the morning or on their lunch breaks at work.

The later in the day the more likely there are to be younger beefcake guys there.

The real, real meatheads (steroidy guys) go late at night... like 9 to midnight. Most of those guys work in bars and get a workout in before their shifts.

What's the deal with swimwear?

Women say they think guys who wear swim briefs are showing off too much or wanting to show off their "bulge". But that is exactly what all you women do when you wear a swimsuit==your suits leave nothing to the imagination with boobs only partially covered and the camel toe bulging out from the bikini bottom. So I ask, do you ladies wear these suits to show off your bodies and show off your "bulges" (both the boobs and camel toe) or do you simply wear what you like and find sexy? The same is with men, if a guy wears a swimbrief it does not necessarily mean he is GAY, or trying to show off, he simply might find them sexy and fun to wear, which is why top designers like Gucci make this type of swimwear--they are catering to fashion decerning men. I am just trying to understand how women have a problem with a fit guy wearing a tight swimwear when women themselves strut around with their junk hanging out. Seems rather hypocritical to me.
P.S. I am fit and enjoy wearing designer swim briefs. I also shave my legs, chest, arms and arm pits because I feel having smooth skin is much better, especially when wearing body conscious swimwear.

yes. but i think you have to be REALLY hot to pull them off. On many guys a swim brief comes across as disgusting and over the top. but if your up for a challenge and are confident enough to pull them off, then I say go for it!

well frist a great brand of swinsuits are uglys because they last longer and they have really cute suits.Now the type of swimsuit for your white skin is a pink suit or a yellow suit with butterflies.

We want only tankinis, with ruffles on the stomach because she hasn't lost her baby belly fat. She's a plus size 16 1/2 in most suits. Oftentimes lingerie chains that specialize in lingerie for larger sizes also carry swimsuits! I am a size 12, and a 32J bra size, and I get all my swimsuits at Change Lingerie :)

If you know the style number you can have your local Old Navy look around and see if other stores have it in stock and then they can do what is called a charge send. It means that the store that has it will send it directly to you, there is a shipping fee applied though.

I don't think they look fashionable to be honest, but it doesn't really matter what you wear while swimming. I know a guy who is Mormon and so he wears one of those wet suit/ surfer shirts to the pool. I think it's admirable when people do things like that because they're going along with the crowd in order to uphold their own morals or values.

What is your opinion on "Wholesome Wear"?

They are swim suits that are basically a wet suit with a big, baggy cover over it. They were made for girls to be modest at the beach or pool for religious reasons or just to be modest. I think it would be very restricting to swim in and i think I would overheat in 90 degree weather wearing this. I am a christian and I wear a bikini. My bikini covers everything, I'm not hanging out of it, but I find a bikini very comfortable for swimming and boating. I wouldn't want to wear a life jacket over a wholesome wear suit at the lake because it would be very hot and restricting. What do you think of wholesome wear? Would you wear it? If you have worn it, what is it like? Is it uncomfortable?

Shouldn't the Speedo LZR Racer swimsuits be banned?

Records are being broken everywhere. It seems like an unnaturally excessive amount of equipment. One might as well wear some flippers on the feet and swim even faster. Where does one draw the line?

There isn't a chance of the new LZR suits being banned. You see, FINA makes the rules for the swimming world, and says what kind of suits you can and can't wear.And guess who one of FINA's sponsers are?

So no matter how unfair they are, it won't change anytime soon. Also, you can't give the suit all the credit, pretty much all of the US's elite athletes are wearing them. These athletes break records no matter what, the suit gives a very small advantage.
