What are some middle names that you think flow well with Victoria? Do you like the name Victoria? I don't think it is over used or too "popular"...but I don't want to use a really "old fashioned" name either, more like classy, elegant, etc. To suit a child and an adult...
I have been thinking about Lynn, Brooke, Kate, Olivia, Rae, Elle, Grace, Peyton, Lauren...
I am not set on a particular type of name, just nothing overly out there, but I am open to modern/unique names!
If you do not like Victoria, I am welcome to other similar in taste names with your middle name suggestions as well!
Thank you!
Answer
Victoria is a timeless classic.
I LOVE it:
Victoria Abbey
Victoria Catherine
Victoria Cleo
Victoria Kate
Victoria Ellen
Victoria Louise
Victoria Claire
Victoria Charlotte
Victoria Jane
Victoria Mae
Victoria Faye
Victoria Elsie
Some of your second name suggestions have a distict R sound which
sounds difficult with Victoria...and Peyton, Brooke and Lynn are so
different in style that it distracts from the whole name.
Olivia is over fussy with Victoria - sharing the same ending.

Answer
Victoria "served, after all, as supreme governor of the Church of England as well as head of state. Had it not been for the initiative of the queen, for example, Archibald Tait would not have become archbishop of Canterbury in 1868, the controversial Public Worship Regulation Act would not have become law in 1874, and the fifth earl of Rosebery would not have succeeded William Ewart Gladstone as prime minister in 1894"(Arnstein, 1996, para. 1). However, "in matters of religion, Queen Victoria saw herself as devout but broadminded, an Anglican by law who was equally willing to attend Presbyterian services in Scotland and Lutheran services in Germany. As the head of a multi-racial and multi-ethnic empire, she envisaged herself as the monarch not only of Christians but also of Jews and Muslims, of Buddhists and Hindus" (Arnstein, 1996, para. 2).
By the way, if you enter the words "Victoria" and "religion" as search terms, you'll probably come up with a similar source to Arnstein's article. For example, the Wikipedia entry for Victoria states that she "preferred short simple services and personally considered heerself more aligned with the Presybterian Church of Scotland than the Episcopalian Church of England" (Victoria, 2011, January 8, para. 41).
