In my experience (and I've worked out in a lot of gyms for a lot of years), most younger guys go to the gym between 2 and 8 (2 if they're students with no classes, 5ish if they're young guys with jobs). Most older men go to the gym in the morning or on their lunch breaks at work.
The later in the day the more likely there are to be younger beefcake guys there.
The real, real meatheads (steroidy guys) go late at night... like 9 to midnight. Most of those guys work in bars and get a workout in before their shifts.
