Answer
Cheerleading is much harder than it looks. As they said, I would definitely take some tumbling classes even if your school doesn't require it. Most coaches will give extra points for any tumbling passes you throw at tryouts. If your high school has a competitive cheerleading squad, you should try to get involved with all star cheerleading. In my experience, allstar cheerleading prepares you best for competitions.

When you walk into tryouts, the most important thing you can do is be confident. It doesn't matter how nervous you are, if you look and act confident, everyone else will think that you know exactly what your doing and admire you for being so self assured. But dont let your confidence come accross as cockiness. you are still learning so listen to the advice your coaches and captains offer you at tryouts. And remember to always have a smile on your face :) Always stay focused so you dont miss anything important. And, something else to remember, most people perceive cheerleading to be very bitchy and catty, but in many cheerleading competitions, teams are rewarded for having good sportsmanship. So, try to be nice and supportive to everyone and cheer them on.

I hopee you havee funn! Cheerleading is an amazing sport to get involoved in. Im suree you wil lovee it :) Good luck!

Cheerleading?

Q. Who think cheerleading is a sport??? if you don't then tell me why. Wimps lift weights, Cheerleaders lift people. Tell me what you think about Cheerleading and sports!!!

Answer
Cheerleading is a sport! Alot of people say it's not a sport, but it really is. I am a Cheerleading captain on my squad and I have gotten injured many times. I feel if there is a chance of you getting injured it's a sport. I have jumped under people when they were falling, thrown girls in the air and then have them land on me, and gotten hit in the face about a hundred times. Cheerleading is a sport and it's actually kind of hard. I love cheerleading and it's a great sport!
Hope this helps!
