How to Make a Ghillie Suit - 8 Easy Steps
http://blog.ghilliegear.com/2009/01/11/how-to-make-a-ghillie-suit-in-8-easy-steps/

STEP 1:

Choose a plain suit to start your Ghillie Suit. This will probably be the easiest part. What suit should I choose? You can choose a jacket and pants or you can use a mechanic suit or flight suit. We have found that a flight suit is better, but the choice is up to you. Your other options

* Purchasing an Expensive Suit - These will probably have some good coverage of camouflage and will be basic in

STEP 2:
Sew knots of netting to the fabric with transparent thread like fishing line. Apply a drop of glue for extra strength.

STEP 3:
Tie groups of 5 to 10 strands of jute to the netting with simple knots. Use various colors.

STEP 4:
Season the webbing by dragging it behind a vehicle, soaking it in mud, or applying manure. Doing this will reduce and eliminate the human scent, especially important if you will be using this Ghillie Suit for Hunting.

STEP 5:
Camouflaged Sniper
Gather items from the environment you plan to use you Ghillie Suit in. For example: If your in a wooded area attach small branches and leaves to the upper half of the suit and feather it to the bottom with items such as grass or twigs.

STEP 6:
Now, attach more items to the back of the suit. Sneaking up on prey or your enemy while wearing your Ghillie Suit, is usually done by crawling on your stomach. We put items on your back because items on your stomach will either get damaged, make noise or both.

STEP 7:
Attach wider items around your head and neck. The human head is the most commonly identified part of the body. The shoulders and neck exaggerate the head. When standing still, your outline must be broken to prevent easy identification.

STEP 8:
Be aware of your setting as it changes. If your environment doesn’t change from Point a to Point B, your Ghillie Suit will be fine. But if the environment changes you will have to incorporate materials of the various settings while your moving.

you might just want to buy own... if you do, ghilliegear has some pretty low prices on ghillie suits http://www.ghilliegear.com

whats the best looking suit?

Sergeant J

the best brand of suit

Answer
the best looking suit is one that is correctly sized and fitted for your shape and size, regardless of the brand. Personally I prefer a three piece - I've found off the peg suits by Stafford at JC Penny are usually a reasonable quality and need little adjustments to make a good fit - the great thing about the department store suits is the mix and match, so even if you have disproportional body and legs, generally you can get a decent suit. Of course a tailored made to measure is likely going to be overall a better fit.

Best suit fabric for hot weather?

sshsearchi

I need to buy my first suit but would like to invest in one I can wear year-round. What is the best suit fabric for hot weather (specifically, the DFW area of Texas) that will still hold up in winter?

Answer
No suit for hot weather will favor you in cold weather, you are asking too much. But to make some equilibrium here, if you find it, buy the light gray suit made of a mix of linen and some artificial fiber.
It would be better to buy a basic suit for hot weather, made of cotton or linen, or this two mixed, in a very light color, and get the dark black wool mix suit for winter. If you buy these in a classic cut, they will serve you for years.

What size for diving suit?

Q. My height is 172 cm, what size should be the diving suit?

Answer
Diving suits, whether wet, semi-dry or dry, don't usually come in numbered sizes. Unless they are made to measure, they normally come in Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large and you have to check with the company's size chart which of those options matches your height. For example, your height of 172 cm translates to the following sizes:

http://www.mikesdivestore.com/Article/334/Typhoon-Wetsuit-Size-Chart.html
Small Medium
http://www.scubapro.com/europe/uk/scubapro-products/articles/dry-suits-size-charts-2010
Small
http://whitesdiving.com/sport-diving/fusion-sport-drysuit/#tprod_sizes
Small Medium
http://www.simplyscuba.com/products/Poseidon/UnisuitExclusiveHBDrysuit.aspx
Medium

So, from these few random examples, you can see there is no full consensus when it comes to sizing a diving suit. Furthermore, suit size charts don't only size by height but also by chest, waist and weight measurements. The Medium suit above is designed for somebody with a 92-96 cm chest, a 76-80 cm waist and a 60-68 kg weight.

Triathlon speed suit question?

Q. can you were a speed suit through out the entire triathlon. also what is a tri suit. does a tri suit have to be usat approved

Answer
A speed suit and tri suit are pretty much the same thing. Yes you can wear them through the entire competition. Most suits of any kind do need to meet requirements set forth by the usat. You would need to check with the the manufacture of the suit and then verify with usat. The speed suit / triathlon suits are usually not as much as a concern as the wet suits are as far as being aproved. Wet suits are permitted depending on water temperatures but they are only work for the swim potion of the Tri.
If you need more defintiion on differences of wet suits to speed suits let me know.

How to buy a male suit?

JackY87

I have never buy or wear a suit before. Now I want to buy a suit suitable for many occasions and my budget is AUD $100-500. I heard people likely get their suit tailored, but I do not think I will wear my suit very often, is that necessary? Other than that, what should I take notice when buying a suits?

Answer
First off, let me welcome you to wonderful world of suits. I understand this department is somewhat daunting and scary at first, but not to fear, I'll walk you through.

In reference to your tailoring question... Don't get a tailored suit; the average Joe can't tell the difference between a ready made suit and a tailored suit, in fact I'm a banker and the only reason why bankers get tailored suits is so that they can walk around the bank and say "have you noticed my tailored suit?"

It's very clear that what you actually need as a plain black suit, in other words, no stripes! Think about it, you can wear it for a business occassion, a wedding, a funeral, and various other events.

Finally, just in case you're worried about the different styles; there's really only two styles for men's suits, single breasted and double breasted and there's no etiquette on which one to pick; just try out both styles and see which one you think you look better in and buy that style.

Other than that, just enjoy your new suit... you'll find that you'll be looking for excuses to wear your suit if you pick a suit which you REALLY like.
