How would someone find a writer for a book that a celebrity would like to write?

Publishing for celebrities works differently from publishing for normal authors.

If a celebrity wants to write a book, you pitch it to a publisher first, and then if the publisher thinks that the celebrity is sufficiently well-known/interesting to sell books on their name alone, they agree to a deal and it's the publisher who engages a ghostwriter to write the book for them. They'll obviously pick one with a proven track record.

That's not how it works for anyone else... only for celebs.

Who won the celebrity celebrity and all star softball game this year?

Celebrity games are meant to be fun -- and safe.

So National team pitcher Jennie Finch and the many former MLB players in the All-Star Legends & Celebrity game didn’t turn up the heat or make too many spectacular defensive plays.

Finch’s lob tosses and the American team's slow throws left a lot of room for good hitting. And the old pros proved they can still hit home runs in a 15-11 American win.

Though they were helped by the shortened home run marker set up in the shallow outfield, some of the hits nearly reached the 365-foot marker at Angel Stadium.

Five-run innings in the third and fourth innings led to the American win. Both teams had 18 hits.

Tim Salmon hit two home runs in the game and was given the MVP in his home stadium.

On the news, they broadcast two "celebrities" getting divorced. How is that news? There are thousands of people getting divorces - I don't see them on the news.
So what's so special about a celebrity?

famous person: somebody who is famous during his or her own lifetime

To be a celebrity, one doesn't need to have talent of any kind (Paris Hilton) nor be attractive (Aristotle Onassis). To be a celebrity, one must be either famous or infamous, and the distinction is not relevant.

The key is to be publicized. Celebrities appear in tabloids and on E! They don't really have to do anything, just be sure to be recognized.

It's so sad that few people remember Fr. Mykel Judge (the firefighter priest who died on 9/11 at the WTC) but many people know who Mischa Barton is.
