Should Christians be wearing bikinis, or even bathing suits at all?

What are some alternatives, if any?

Are ppl that wear bikinis or other bathing suits sinning? Why or why not and how do these two verses relate?

I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. (NIV, 1 Timothy 2:9-10)

I think this is a wonderful question!

Personally no, I don't think a Christian woman should wear a traditional bathing suit let alone a bikini. As Christian women we are to be modest and not tempt men around us to sin in their hearts and minds simply because I'm wearing something that is too revealing! You can google "modest swim wear" and get several choices, but I really like "Wholesome Wear." They have good products that really cover everything! My body is for the glory of God and for my husband in private. It is not something that I flaunt.

It depends on what you are wearing and who is wearing them. Some people CANNOT wear them because then flab is sticking out everywhere.. like EW!
